Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka Shakar, one of the American and British sitar artist. She was the first person within her age bracket to be awarded an award from the British House of Commons Staff. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is one of the Indian young sitar singer. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in London She spent her beginning of her career traveling between London as well as New Delhi. The first time she performed was in New Delhi at the tender age of thirteen. She graduated in 1999 from her high school studies within Encinitas CA. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful performing and recording careers, despite being young. Her father has accompanied her in many performances for some time. She released her debut album in 1998. released Anourag as her debut album as a solo artist. The album was released in 2002. her Grammy nominated album Live At Carnegie Hall. She has performed at most famous venues throughout the world. Anoushka Shakar's career isn't only limited to music. Bapi the Love of My Live, a biographical picture dedicated to her father Ravi Shankar was published in 2002. The year 2003 saw her appeared in Dance Like a Man as the Bharat Natyam dancer. Anoushka is continuing to advance on her path and will surely be more things to come from this talented woman. Anoushka Shakar, who was born in England spent a large part of her adult life in London Delhi. When she moved to California she graduated from high school. At the age of nine, she began her studies in music under her father. She made her debut with the sitar four years later during his 75th birthday celebration in Delhi. Anoushka was able to gain a great deal of experience by touring the world along with her dad. She played at Carnegie Hall in her teenage time, and also recorded at George Harrison's WOMAD Festival. As a tribute to her status as one of the top musicians in Asian Arts, she was presented with the House of Commons Shield by British Parliament.
